San Fang Si Zheng

San Fang Si Zheng means reading one palace together with two trine palaces and its opposite palace. The four positions form a functional network rather than four unrelated boxes.

This method explains why a quiet-looking palace may still receive strong support or tension from elsewhere in the chart. It also reduces the common mistake of interpreting a palace from its resident stars alone.

In the free chart, select any palace to draw its trine triangle and direct line to the opposite palace.
